We are looking for an experienced trainer / tutor for our unique Community Interest Company.

I Can in the North East – CIC is an innovative training and support company delivering qualification based training to both Corporate clients and to the hardest to reach individuals within the North East of England.

Role Summary:- 


The position carries the full range of delivery strategies and training responsibilities and requires the trainer to demonstrate an extensive range of knowledge, understanding and application of training to clients at all levels of standing.

The post holder will be involved in the leadership of others in a range of activities and will carry responsibility to maximise the benefit to clients in achievement and progression.

We have started to develop a wide range of qualification offerings, involving partner organisations which are starting to enable innovative progression pathways for the clients who access our service.

Your role is to train and deliver the resources and programmes enabling our clients to progress their lives through ourselves and external partner organisations.

It’s a tough job and we are seeking the best candidate we can, to give our clients in the North East a new chance on life.

This role will involve training, supervising, working with and/or being in sole charge of learners of all ages. 

The successful applicant will therefore be required to apply for a disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB). 

A disclosure is an impartial and confidential document that details an individual’s criminal record and where appropriate gives details of those who are banned from working with children.

Experience Required:-

Essential

• Pttls and/or Cttls Qualifications and a pro-active commitment to continuous self development

• Thorough understanding of and empathy for learner group.

• Knowledge of training processes (gained through experience or qualification).

• Knowledge and understanding of QCF/NVQs/SVQs.

• Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workload

• Ability to balance conflicting demands and tight deadlines

• Excellent report writing and presentation skills

• Effective communication skills

• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

• Present self and the organisation professionally to build trust and commitment

• Monitors, evaluates and challenges performance of learners

• Works for continuous improvement, is proactive and demonstrates perseverance

• Active listener who encourages participation, solutions identification and ownership of decision

• Coaches, supports and develops people and encourages the use of own initiative

• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills

• Demonstrates enthusiasm, confidence and pride in others’ abilities

• An ability to contribute to the development and delivery of strategies to meet the learning needs of low-attaining young people and adults.
