Suhan Michioglu, who is a native of Ankara, Turkey has been living in the UK and working in both countries for over 30 years. He is a graduate of the reputable T.E.D Ankara College private school and a graduate of Northumbria and Staffordshire Universities. He studied Business and Marketing.

Besides his post as the Co-Founder and Director of I Can in the North East Community Interest Company, he is the Founder and Director of Inscape Learning and Development Ltd, owner of Global Links Consulting, and Business Development Director for Ethics in Policing Ltd, all based in the North East of England.

Suhan has over thirty year’s extensive experience in management, people development, sales and customer service. After twelve years working for IBM UK’s sales division as Senior Salesman, Market Development Manager and Agent Manager, he set up his first training business. He developed and delivered training programs, both in Turkey and in the UK, on success strategies, leadership, people management, team building and development, presentation skills, productivity, sales performance and customer service. His clients include the largest and most prominent organisations in their respective sectors. He developed and coached individuals to lead, to work together and realise their full potential. He personally trained over 2,500 mature professionals and executives to help them achieve their personal, professional and organisational goals with excellent results and feedback.

He is a businessman, consultant and facilitator who has a wealth of knowledge, ranging from local authority to both small businesses and large conglomerates working with finance, sales, retail, marketing, manufacturing and service functions.

The I Can in the North East initiative was an opportunity to help him roll out his work to help individuals, charities, schools, colleges, local authorities, companies, and other public and private sector organisations think outside the box and work with them to utilise the most effective approach to address the cause of the underlying problems and to be able to facilitate a dramatic and significant positive change in our culture and the way we live our day-to-day lives. His work enabled him to assist and train over 1,000 disadvantaged young people and adults and, over 150 trainers, advisors and YOS (Youth Offending Service) staff with outstanding results.

He is a volunteer Business Mentor for the Prince's Trust within the UK.

Suhan has been happily married to Janet for 27 years and they have three terrific children.
