The prestigious venues and executive suites we use capture the I Can ethos of demonstrating to learners that they are valued and ensure that they feel excited and comfortable.
Use of such venues also allows the training programme to draw on real-life and real-time examples of success, to which the learners can relate.
We use appropriate venues across the North East such as: Newcastle Falcons Rugby Club.
A Flexible Approach
We have a flexible approach to working with the learners and great care is taken to ensure that the content and range of activities support qualification-based learning and the national curriculum, whilst focusing on reintegration into mainstream Education, Employment or Training. We work with groups of between six to eight young people; this manageable group size allows the trainers to give each learner sufficient time and attention, while at the same time ensuring that the young people can develop crucial team-working skills.
The programmes aim to enhance the personal and social development and employability of the learners, to build their character, to develop their learning capacity, to encourage a voluntary positive change in behaviour, to give them a sense of achievement and prepare them for the world of work. It does this by teaching them a range of personal and inter-personal skills to help change their attitudes and behaviour for the better.
These skills include:
