I Can in the North East offers City and Guilds qualifications in Personal Development and Employability utilising powerful programmes for clients of all ages and from all backgrounds. We also provide professional development programmes for organisations. In particular, we work with children, outreach young adults, disengaged adults, lone parents, workless adults, people with a disability or long term illness, ex-offenders and minority ethnic groups including refugees and asylum seekers to improve their lives and offer them similar opportunities available to the rest of the society. Our core training programmes assist in raising self-esteem, self-worth, self-confidence, motivation and aspiration through positive thinking and encouraging a voluntary positive change in attitudes and behaviour through our innovative and 21st century programmes. I Can is the brainchild of Gary Bennett and Suhan Mihcioglu who will freely admit that they plan to change the world, a little at a time, and have already made quite a good start! Wii Can is the first of many projects to show that the I Can principles can work and well be bringing news of this and other regional and social projects soon. |
